The Carlton
Through no fault of its own, the Carlton has, until now, been forced to
play second fiddle to our other S2N2006 car, the now rather infamous Alfa.
Hence the old girl is now looking for a loving home. Failing that, a
banger rally nutcase with a fistful of tenners would be just fine.

Behold, the mighty Carlton!! Note: Green mouldy bumpers. Nice. |
| |
She doesn't sweat much for a fat lass.
Boot handle also a bit green. |
| |
Amazingly, this beast has straight sides. Yes, really! |
| |
The view most people get as she speeds off into the distance... Yeah,
right. |
| |
Take a look at the alloys - totally spotless. God only knows how that
happened. |
| |
Front of the beastie. Note: Front fog lamps! Do they work? No
idea. |
| |
Er, the side... Again. Note: Wing mounted CD badges. Special. |
| |
More front than Southend. Or summat. Check out the headlight wipers
- pure CD-spec. class. |
| |
It's a long shot, I know. That was a crap joke, I know. |
| |
Close-up of one of the amazingly good alloys. It's true. They
really are that good! Note: Kwik Fit tyres - only the very best for this
car. Tread is good on all four tyres. Spare? No idea. |
| |
No clocking here, then. Note: 6,500rpm redline - feel the power! |
| |
Dunno why I took this picture, as the stereo doesn't actually work.
Looks alright, though. |
| |
Two litres of Vauxhall's finest single overhead cam fuel injected iron.
Roar like a lion - you're a winner (and your mother loves you). |
| |
Same magnificent engine, from a different angle. Yummy. Note: Red
car alarm sounder... Ha ha, don't make me laugh! |
| |
Gratuitous close-up of engine. Grunty. Note: Oily bits are all nice
and oily. |
| |
Vehicle has sustained some damage since it was made 17 years ago.
Looks like someone went at it with a crowbar. Adds character, if you
ask me! |
| |
Oh yes, and there is some rust. You'll have to look closely, though.
As far as I'm aware, this is the only rust on the car (apart from the dent
on the wing - see above).
Absolutely amazing for an ancient Vauxhall. |
